Who we are

Global BPO Index (“we”, “us”) operates globalbpoindex.com, an independent directory that helps buyers compare BPO and outsourcing providers. For any privacy request, contact us via the contact page. We are the data controller for the personal data described below.

Data we collect

• Enquiry data you submit: name, work email, phone, company, company size, timeline, budget, and your message, plus the page the enquiry came from.
• Provider claims & submissions: contact name, email, role, phone, and company details you provide.
• Usage data (only with your consent): pages viewed, approximate location, device/browser, and referrer, via the analytics tools below.
• Technical data needed to run the site securely (e.g. IP address for bot protection), processed on a legitimate-interest basis.

How we use it

• To match your enquiry with relevant providers and facilitate an introduction.
• To operate, secure, and improve the site and its content.
• To respond to claims, submissions, and support requests.

Our legal bases (where GDPR applies) are: performance of your request (matching enquiries), consent (analytics cookies), and legitimate interests (site security and improvement).

How your enquiry is shared

When you request quotes, the details of your enquiry are shared with the outsourcing provider(s) we match you to, so they can respond. Your identity and contact details are not shown publicly — a limited, anonymised preview of recent enquiry intent (e.g. “call-center outsourcing in the Philippines”) may appear on the site, never your name, email, phone, or company. Providers only receive your contact details when a match is made.

Cookies & analytics

We only set analytics cookies after you accept via our cookie banner. With consent we use Google Analytics 4 and PostHog to understand usage. We also use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and collects no personal information. You can change your choice any time by clearing your browser storage for this site. We do not sell your personal data.

Service providers we use

We share data with vendors who process it on our behalf under appropriate safeguards: Vercel (hosting/CDN), Supabase (database), Resend (transactional email), Cloudflare (Turnstile bot protection), and the analytics providers above. Some may process data outside your country; where required we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms.

Data retention

We keep enquiry and claim data only as long as needed to provide the service and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping, then delete or anonymise it. Analytics data is retained per the providers’ standard periods.

Your rights

Depending on your location (e.g. GDPR/UK GDPR, CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these, contact us via the contact page and we’ll respond within the timeframe the law requires.

Provider profiles & AI content

Provider profiles are aggregated from public sources and may be enriched using AI; details may be incomplete or out of date, so verify independently. Editorial guides are written by our team. If you represent a listed company and want your listing corrected or removed, contact us.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
